SCIENCE

OsteoStrong is a membership-based Integrative Health and Wellness Center focused on musculoskeletal strengthening.

During short, weekly sessions members perform safe, guided movements on four specialized devices that apply controlled pressure to the muscles and bones, signaling the body to grow stronger and build new bone tissue. Each device provides real-time biofeedback.

Session data is recorded, and members receive a detailed progress report after each visit.

WE UNDERSTAND...

Bisphosphonates, the class of medications commonly prescribed to slow bone loss, are generally the first line of defense for patients diagnosed with osteoporosis. Unfortunately, the risk of and contradictions with other health problems can make this a complicated decision.

Until now there were few exercise-based non- pharmaceutical options that offered significant increases in bone density.

OsteoStrong offers a highly effective, evidence-based musculoskeletal strengthening program.

explains how osteogenic loading, with or without bisphosphonates, enables the body to naturally rebuild bone tissue.

STUDIES

OsteoStrong sessions use specialized equipment designed to mimic the effects of high-impact activity. This process, called Osteogenic Loading, takes advantage of the body’s ideal positioning so that the force travels directly through the bone. As a result, the loads achieved are much greater than those experienced during daily activities or traditional strength training. Heavy loading is already widely recommended by global medical education organizations — OsteoStrong makes this process safer.

The concept of Osteogenic Loading isn’t new—its foundation goes back more than a century. In the late 1800s, Dr. Julius Wolff introduced Wolff’s Law, which explains that bones strengthen and remodel in response to the forces they experience. What became clearer with the 2012 Deere & Tobias study was the discovery of a minimum threshold needed to stimulate new bone growth. Specifically, at least 4.2 times a person’s body weight is required to trigger osteogenesis in the hip joint—a key area for fracture prevention. In comparison, conventional resistance training in adults typically produces only 1.26 to 1.54 times body weight, well below the necessary threshold.

Science & technology are always advancing. We look forward to future research on larger, more diverse populations. OsteoStrong Houston is committed to staying at the forefront of innovation and sharing the most up-to-date findings with our community.

HOW IT WORKS

15 Minutes, 1x/Week

The four-device circuit takes about 10 minutes to complete once a week. With guidance from a skilled technician, you’ll perform safe, controlled movements on each device that strengthen your bones and the rest of your musculoskeletal system in a joint-friendly way.

We guide you through personalized balance, mobility, and strength routines with Whole Body Vibration therapy before and after the four device circuit.

OsteoStrong works by stimulating the body’s production of osteoblasts (bone-building cells) through osteogenic loading. This occurs when the body experiences a safe, controlled load that signals bones and muscles to adapt and grow stronger.

Using a patented system of four robotic devices, OsteoStrong replicates the benefits of high-impact activity—without the risk of high-impact activity. Each session lasts only minutes and delivers measurable results in bone density, strength, balance, and posture.

MORE ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY

Research shows that bone strength and health are most effectively improved through high-impact activity.

In fact, numerous studies have identified that bones need to experience forces of more than four times body weight—particularly in the hip joint—to stimulate growth.

However, as people age, high-impact movement becomes more closely linked with injury risk, leading many adults to avoid it altogether. Even those who exercise regularly may not reach the level of force necessary to maintain optimal bone health.

OsteoStrong utilizes a series of robotic musculoskeletal treatment devices utilizing high impact emulation, so that people can get the benefit of impact without the associated risks.

The result: stronger bones, better balance and posture, and greater overall strength.

*No physical exercise is 100% safe, and neither is OsteoStrong. OsteoStrong provides a unique way to emulate a high impact load of force to achieve osteogenic loading, without the high impact. While not 100% safe, OsteoStrong is significantly safer than attempting high impact force. OsteoStrong members have reported improved bone density, improved balance, improved strength, reduced joint pain, and reduced HbA1c. Results may vary. Consult your physician.
